if people still refuse to believe that the doctor loves rose after watching this scene then they are clearly insane.  look at his face, and notice how abruptly he tells her that he would never leave her behind.  rose is so scared because she thought she had found someone special and she’s watching her plan fall apart, but the doctor loves her.  and he would never leave her on a street corner like he did sarah-jane.  he loves her too much to do that.
